WLC 300: PRO SEMINAR
Course Description: This course helps students explore any of the possible career pathways that they can take within their Japanese major as well as introduce students to graduates who have made a career out of their major degree. This course also helps students get into contact with the major adviser to create their individual learning plan to plan for all the courses that will be taken in order to fulfill all of the major requirements as well as helping students create their graduation portfolio to help prepare them for graduation.
No MLO: University Requirement Course.
Reflection Narrative:
One of the things that I done in this course was getting help creating my work resume by being given a worksheet that gives a structure for what a work resume would look like and then I was given a lecture about a work resume on what is expected of one in terms of wording things and keeping it to a good length that is not too short or long and then submitting it to the instructors for them to give me their best feedback on it. This course was a good preparation for getting me ready to graduate and even look for jobs after graduating. Another thing that I done in this courses was taking a STAMP test which is a language test that students take during the beginning of their college career life and then again during the end and the middle to check to see how they have improved in their language skills. While taking this test I learned that my weaker points in Japanese was my listening skills. After learning that I have lower listening skills in Japanese I was able to know what I needed to work on and prepare to work on it.
